This deep connection to African roots is what makes Afrobeats special.

Now, Tiwa Savage is about to break new ground by becoming the first female Afrobeats artist to headline the prestigious Wembley Arena in the United Kingdom. The iconic venue, capable of accommodating 13,000 attendees, will bear witness to this historic milestone in her career.

Born in Nigeria, Tiwa Savage spent her formative years in the country before relocating to the UK at the age of 11 to pursue her secondary and university education. According to the acclaimed artist, her Nigerian upbringing resonates deeply in her music nd she always blends English with Yoruba to showcase her dual influences.

Tiwa Savage also shared her feelings about performing at the coronation ceremony of King Charles III. She was nervous at first but felt honored and thrilled to be the first Nigerian artist to grace such a prestigious stage.
