Journalist Jaafar Jaafar tells INEC to investigate missing ballot papers




Journalist Jaafar Jaafar reaching out through a tweet has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC to investigate allegations of missing or stolen 24, 682 ballot papers meant for the Tofa/Rimingado/Dawakin Tofa federal constituency in Kano state.


On Wednesday, February 22, INEC had begun the distribution of sensitive electoral materials for the Saturday, February 25 presidential and National Assembly elections.


In the tweet posted, Jaafar wrote;

‘’@inecnigeria kindly investigate missing/stolen 24,682 ballot papers meant for Tofa/Rimingado/Dawakin Tofa Federal Constituency in Kano. Some party agents raised the alarm at the CBN collection center when they noticed that two cartons were tampered with.”
