Court remands gospel singer Osinachi’s husband in Kuje prison

The Federal Capital Territory High Court sitting in Wuse, Abuja has remanded Peter Nwachukwu, husband of the late popular gospel singer, Osinachi, in Kuje Correctional Centre. 

The Federal Government arraigned Nwachukwu on Friday, June 3.

Peter is currently facing 23-count bordering on culpable homicide, verbal, physical abuse and wrongful confinement, wrongful restraint, economic abuse, forced isolation, emotional and psychological abuse and attempt to commit culpable homicide, among others.

Nwachukwu will be in prison pending the hearing and determination of the homicide-related suit instituted against him by the Attorney General of the Federation.

The presiding judge, Justice N.K. Nwosu-Iheme gave the order on Friday after he pleaded not guilty to 23 charges bordering on domestic violence and homicide, among others.

He is facing 23-count bordering on culpable homicide, verbal, physical abuse and wrongful confinement, wrongful restraint, economic abuse, forced isolation, emotional and psychological abuse and attempt to commit culpable homicide, among others.
