Recall that an Abuja-Kaduna train was attacked on the 28th or March in which 9 people lost their lives and many were kidnapped.
Among the kidnapped, there were two pregnant women, one gave birth in custody in April while the other pregnant woman has now been released by the bandits on compassionate grounds.
The released woman has called upon the federal government to negotiate with the bandits, while she said they were well fed and cared for,
“I call on the government to have mercy on these people the way they have mercy on us,” the woman said in Hausa.
“The government should consider the plight of people in captivity and listen to their demands. Government should negotiate with them peacefully and accede to their demands. So that those still with them can be released the way I was peacefully released and reunited with my family and loved ones. Government should help negotiate peacefully with them.” she added.
