I’m into mobile wholesales/retail of makeup products and makeup glam of any occasion. My love for perfect makeovers led me into the business.
Also i got motivated by a sister. I loved how much zeal she put into her job and how much happiness she derives from it. So i decided to register for her classes to become a pro. Afterwards i threw in sales of makeup products too.
WHY DO YOUR CUSTOMERS CHOOSE YOU OVER YOUR COMPETITORS?
My services and products are pocket friendly, I have been able to build a level of trust with my customers which makes them comfortable doing business with me, I make sure my customer service is inexplicable, I believe in consistency and appreciates feedback and corrections from my customers.
HOW DID YOU FUND YOUR BUSINESS AT STARTUP?
My brothers and a friend helped me with funding. I also used my NYSC allowance in funding the sales of makeup products.
WHAT HAVE BEEN SOME OF YOUR FAILURES AND WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT FROM THEM?
Funding has been my major setback.
Lack of initial training on the most important basics of makeup.
I’ve had poor quality/Unprofessional website and social media handles.
To crown it, lack of self-confidence and believing that success is unattainable.
These failures has thought me to buckle up and grab all opportunities to learn new skills. And I’ve also learnt to believe in myself.
WHAT SACRIFICES HAVE YOU HAD TO MAKE AS AN ENTREPRENEUR?
I remember during my NYSC days, when my colleagues were spending their allowance on other stuff, I was investing in my business.
Traveling to meet up with clients, even when it’s not convenient. And making sure orders are available at the expected time. Just so I don’t disappoint my clients.
