This week we’re celebrating the ceo of ‘TRALERQUIS’ – Owoicho-Daniel Comfort
She shares with us her entrepreneurship journey and what her brand is all about.
TELL US ABOUT YOUR LINE OF BUSINESS. HOW DID THE IDEA OF YOUR BUSINESS COME ABOUT?
Tralerquis is a creative brand of business, which I head the fashion design arm at the moment, that specializes in female bespoke and ready to wear clothing.
Tralerquis started from amateur sketching for my mom in 2007, with grand support from my mom and encouragement from a friend (who became my husband lol )to learn in 2013 as an apprentice.
Tralerquis the brand got it’s full entrance into the market in 2015 after graduating from the style temple fashion academy
WHY DO YOUR CUSTOMERS CHOOSE YOU OVER YOUR COMPETITORS?
Tralerquis prides it’s self at being the tailor with her client in mind, with this clients find satisfaction, comfort as well as class anytime they come to us with thier fabrics, we prove with each design that each person can show off her personality with what she wears.
Fashion can be comfortable and modest as well.
We cater to each client according to her budget.
So we are flexible which makes us very desirable.
Most of all “We are always on time”
HOW DID YOU FUND YOUR BUSINESS AT STARTUP?
Seed capital which came from family,in form of equipment for my business and I in turn go out each day with something worth talking about, as i make sure I tell any female I come in contact with what a great designer I am, how trying me will be the best thing that ever happened to her fabric.
And yes I always deliver
WHAT HAVE BEEN SOME OF YOUR FAILURES AND WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT FROM THEM? –
I am not good at rushing, I give my best when I have the luxury of time, especially with brides, I always advice and plead with my clients to make thier way to me early enough, not because i will disappoint but so I can give my best, they come to seek fault in your business don’t give them that chance because if you do, they will step on your confidence and it will take a while to get you back on track.
Not every money is for you, learn to say NO If you can’t deliver, it’ll make you stand out.
Honesty is the best policy.
Never joke with those who believed in you before you started but let go of those who lord it over you.
WHAT SACRIFICES HAVE YOU HAD TO MAKE AS AN ENTREPRENEUR?
As a designer Lots of sleepless night just to make sure I am true to my word of always been on time.
I always see through my clients eyes to make sure I embody the style, how can I be the tailor with her in mind if I cannot tell how perfect the cloth will be before she wears it?
I push the boundaries, some clients came to us shy and timid, and are now the all out extravagant classy , queen of fashion, boss ladies.
I ensure I use the word “we ” when addressing my business because I see a bigger future, that’s bigger than “I”.
Amazing! More blessings to you
She made one of the best dresses my kid sis has in her wardrope. My mum always keeps the best fabrics and in her words Bukky will sow this one for me.
