How do i introduce Sandra Okunzuwa? 🤔The first time i watched her was on Iroko TV (Movie Title – The rejected stone) i was like wow, beautiful face! And she actually can act! Then i watched the movie for a second time, and then a 3rd, 4th and 5th.

Why? Because i loved the chemistry between her and Ik ogbonna. And because she did justice to that role.

Afterwards i came across her page on Instagram when i wasn’t even looking!

Coincidence? You think?

Well; i knew i had to speak with her for the tribe. And now we are here.

My name is Sandra okunzuwa, I am from Edo state, I am a lawyer. A graduate of university of Benin where I got my Bachelors Degree in law, I also attended the Nigerian law school where I got called to the Nigerian Bar.

We have seen you take on intresting roles and you wear your character so well.

Is it usually difficult fitting into a particular role?

it’s really not difficult for me fitting into any role yet. As a kid and teenager I have always played different personalities with my peer group, siblings, families and kitchen plates.

weird right? but it’s the truth. As a very observant person I observe people’s characters and personalities a lot. This helps me to get into any role ones I have an idea of who the character is.

What attracted you to begin a career as an actor?

Right from my childhood I had always loved entertainment.

One thing that attracted me into acting aside from watching great actors on screen, was the idea of fitting into different people’s life, personalities and experiences.

I want to feel what they feel , love what they love and want what they want. I just want to bring what’s written to life.

What is the one thing, people will be surprised to know about you?

I don’t like when it rains and I’m alone and I don’t like when dogs cry especially puppies.

If you could choose, what three actors would you really want to work with?

Hmmmm I would love to work with more than three actors but since I have been limited to just three, they will be my childhood veteran’s that I have looked forward to that is Nkem Owoh, Patience Ozokwo and Genevieve Nnaji.

Aside acting, what else are you exploring?

Aside acting I am also exploring other things such as business, producing, law, real estate, fashion, dancing and starting my own YouTube channel.

Movies or music?

Music or movies? Hmmm this is a tough one. Music calms me down and sometimes I wish I had a great voice but since movies has always been a part of me I will say movies.

Questions like that is asked most time to define a person thereby bringing tribalism into it. It really shouldn’t matter where I am from rather i should be defined by my level of intellect and the values I am capable of bringing to the table to move the country forward not some tribal or ethnic barrier questions.

Whats your opinion on Social media bullies? What is the most hurtful comment about you you’ve read?

Social media bullies are in desperate need of attention and they feel like they can only get that attention by bullying people since negativity gets to people more and secondly your life maybe a reflection of what they don’t have. Instead of thinking and strategizing how to become better they would rather exercise their hateful energy, since it’s cheap. Most times in order to protect my sanity I already understand why they do what they do.

One of such negative comments which I found hilarious was when someone sent me a DM and said I am not behaving like a celebrity that I should change and start behaving like one.
