TELL US ABOUT YOUR LINE OF BUSINESS. HOW DID THE IDEA OF YOUR BUSINESS COME ABOUT?

Betty – @thebakerspot is a baking factory where mouth watering fresh cakes, small chops, banana bread, cupcakes, pastries etc are made with the finest materials with no artificial additives.

It started from primary school, I loved kitchen and derived so much joy in making foods. My grandfather first saw this passion in me and gave me the name “chief cook”. I started putting my passion to practice during my NYSC days.

WHY DO YOUR CUSTOMERS CHOOSE YOU OVER YOUR COMPETITORS?

Betty – My customers loved our products because we add value to every kobo they spend, our products are out of this world. We bake with love and always make sure we wow them.

HOW DID YOU FUND YOUR BUSINESS AT STARTUP?

Betty – My business was first funded by my fiancee now my husband who saw the zeal in me and supported me.

WHAT HAVE BEEN SOME OF YOUR FAILURES AND WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT FROM THEM? –

Betty – Hmmm…. failure. I could say I haven’t fail totally but sometimes I feel like giving up on business but remembering why I started and where I want to be, so I keep pushing.

WHAT SACRIFICES HAVE YOU HAD TO MAKE AS AN ENTREPRENEUR?

Betty – I have gone hungry just to see my business standing

I started my business with nothing, no oven, no mixer, no major baking equipment but determination and passion kept me pushing, today I have trained over 30 people that have started their own businesses.

God has been faithful and I give him all the Glory.
