Which led us to having the 25 QuestionsTag, we are certain you’ll love what you’re about to read.
So go ahead and have fun reading our Question Tag with Lolu.
1: You became famous after the 2018 BBNaija Show – Did the experience affect your lifestyle in any way?
Lolu – I would say that fame does improve the quality of ones lifestyle regardless, how one deals with the improvement has over time been seen as an issue. With regards to my personality and values, I am still the Lolu before the show. Naturally my lifestyle is also reflective of my personality and as such I will say the quality has only improved but not affected my lifestyle adversely.
2: What were your expectations when you went in? Looking back now, was it worth it?
Lolu – Before being on the show, I had always been a fan of the Big Brother Franchise and at every turn, I was constantly impressed. When I made the choice to be audition for the 3rd time and got picked, I was open to the fact that I had to keep an open mind, take each day as it came at me and put my best foot forward. With that mindset I was prepared for almost everything that would have come my way. I saw the show as a platform and as much as I was aware of the fact that I would be pushed to my limits but it will be a ride that would be worth every minute of my time. I look back now and I am grateful for every day I spent in the house. It was definitely worth it.
3: Do you regret being on the show? Or do you wish to have done certain things differently?
Lolu – My mother raised me to never regret any of my actions as what makes a man is him taking responsibility for my actions and its consequences. I made a choice to be on Africas Biggest Reality TV show and I that choice has its consequences. Are the consequences far-reaching? Yes, they are. Is my life under scrutiny almost every time? Yes. Do I regret the results of being famous? No.
I don’t wish I would change anything or have done anything differently. Truth be told I was gutted not to have made it into the final week of the show but I am of the changing anything no matter how small may have changed the outcome for better or worse not just for the show but for life after it. That said, I am grateful for what my actions have brought me and thankful for where they’ll take me.
4: How would you describe your relationship with former housemates now?
Lolu – Cordial to say the least. Naturally, human relationships and interactions are not expected to be at the same level across board. I am closer to a few people than others. This does’nt mean theres hate or malicious intent or feeling from me towards any person that I am not very close to.
5: How has fame changed you as a person?
Lolu – As I pointed out earlier, Fame has only improved the quality of my life, which I think should be the case for everyone. It has not changed me in anyway. If anything fame and fortune show the true colours of people. Evidently, I have stayed the same after fame became attached to my name. I still have the same friends and my values remain the same.
6: Celebrity Crush ?
Lolu – Pokello definitely has my heart , Cassie as well.
7: Greatest fear?
Lolu – My greatest fear is being a terrible Father and Husband. One major thing I strive to do every daily is to look around, see and learn from everything I can find that helps me improve my ability in being a good Father and Husband. This means giving my wife and kids a better life than I have had and one I could only of dreamt of having for myself.
8: Single or hooked?
Lolu – Single.
9: Books or TV?
Lolu – Both.
10: Most Priced Possession?
Lolu – This will have to be my family and network. Both of them are not the biggest or most out there circles but they are people that I love, cherish and respect. Materially? It would have to be watches or perfumes. Too hard to pick! Sorry.
11: Ugly and live forever, or look attractive and die in a year?
Lolu – Nobody Ugly o. Everyone is beautiful in their respective ways Ugly and Live Forever.
12: If you could have personally witnessed anything, what would you want to have seen?
Lolu – A Michael Jackson performance in person. He is remains the greatest of all time.
13: If you could wake up tomorrow in the body of someone else, who would you pick and what would you do?
Lolu – Lol! I’ll imagine the Presidents body. I’ll pretty much set in place concepts and initiatives that would help truly improve the quality of the Nigerian populace. Also, successfully put in place avenues for the country to diversify it’s economy and as opposed to being a monocultural economy after all these years. On a less serious note? I’ll be happy to wake up in Lewis Hamiltons body and drive in a Grand Prix Weekend preferably in the Austrian or Italian Grand Prix.
14: What question do you hate to answer
Lolu – I wouldnt say any in particular, however there are questions that have become quite tiring.
15: Do you have a favourite book?
Lolu – That’s a tough question and the answer is NO. That said though, I am huge fan of John Grisham. All of his books that I have read have all been special in their own rights.
16: What was the last picture you took with your phone?
Lolu – A friend that I have known for about a decade.
17: What do you constantly think about that, either makes you sad or just anything?
Lolu – I get saddened by the fact that there are people who have a lot less than I have and the fact that I cant do more now to help in whatever way I can breaks my heart. I see kids begging, youths having to work 3 jobs to go to school and parents struggle to make ends meet and I someday want to be able to do more than I currently can.
18: What is the habit you are proudest of breaking or want to break?
Lolu – I used to lock a lot of stuff in when I get wronged by those I consider dear, these days I am aware that speaking about it helps me heal and gives me strength to forgive and move on. Lifes too short to hold on to bad energy or bad vibes.
19: If you had to be named after a city, state, or country, which would you want it to be?
Lolu – I’ll love to be named after the city of lights Paris.
20: Describe the most terrifying moment of your life so far. Have you recovered from it?
Lolu – Losing my first love suddenly, my mother passed on 10 years ago and I won’t say I have recovered from it, one never really recovers from this sort of thing, I have learnt to live with it. Sometimes I get reminded of her by the littlest things and I get said but then again she won’t want me being sad for too long, so we move!
21: You can select one person from history and have them truthfully answer one question, who would you select and what is the question?
Lolu – I’ll choose Oprah because she defied all the odds to be the enigma she is today. The question would be What were your lowest moments, those you have never spoken about to the public and how have those moments defined the woman you are now?
22: As a public figure, what’s your opinion on Politics? Feminism? Democracy? Stereotypes? And Rape?
Lolu – Politics: The change we seek starts from us as citizens, nobody has ever built a house from the roof, it all starts from the foundation. We will only get to our promise land when a citizen chooses to change not for himself or herself but for the next person, someone they dont know or would ever meet.
Feminism: I am a feminist, an advocate of treating women better and giving them equal rights, opportunities and pay. What I do have a problem with is the fact that a few people are misconstruing feminism to mean what they think it should mean or what they want it to mean. Feminism is universal.
Democracy: We have a long way to go, where are not where we used to be but we are grateful for how far we have come. As a people, let us all pay attention to the little things as they are the ingredients that make the big picture.
Stereotypes – The world will be a better place without them. I dont see it as fair to have a perspective of someone based on rules and or characteristics that are untrue and unfounded. Exprience them first hand.
Rape: Unacceptable, Barbaric and anyone found guilty should be met with stiffer punishments than there are currently within the confines of the Law.
23: What is the weirdest thing about you? Are you proud of it?
Lolu – Weird? I pay a lot of attention to people and things I care about when I am not trying at all.
While I was younger, people always wondered how I knew so much about something I just found out about a couple of days ago. I am proud of it, it is who I am, I wont want to be anyone else.
24: What type of music do you listen to? (Genre, artists, songs)
Lolu – One of the benefits of working a job on radio is being exposed to all genres of music so having to pick one or a few is extremely difficult because there are so many good songs in these genres. Every genre I have been exposed to have had a positive effect on me in ways I can’t put into words. You could ask me to curate a playlist in different genres in minutes and I’ll do so with ease. Artists and Songs, that would have to be in a separate interview where we talk music alone.
25: What cheers you up?
Lolu – Being able to smile in true happiness and seeing those I truly care about do well too.
